After three difficult years, the start of the 2014 vintage remained just as challenging for winemakers, but surprisingly nice weather conditions paired with the winemakers' expertise allowed for a bountiful harvest and a promising vintage in terms of quality.
Area of Production: The Côtes du Rhône vineyards cover two areas: the northern section from Vienne to Valence and the southern part from Montélimar to Avignon. Varietal: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre Alcohol: 13% Wine Making Techniques: Horizontal press, aged in cement and stainless steel with an 8 month maturation period. Wines Notes: Deep color with almost black tints. The nose is powerful with aromas of black pepper, very ripe cherry and violet. Full and velvety characters in the mouth, flexible tannins and a dominant cherry note. Recommended Food: This lovely Côtes du Rhône is perfect served with oxtail stew and winter vegetables.
