Federica Lauterio
Zaccagnini
Federica Lauterio, born in Abruzzo, was introduced to the world of wine at an early age, thanks to her family's long-standing tradition of vineyard cultivation. Initially pursuing studies in Agriculture, she soon discovered her true passion lay in Enology. This realization led her to Friuli, where she earned a degree in Viticulture and Enology from the University of Udine.
Federica's career began with her first experiences in Abruzzo and then took her to California. After her time in California, she went to Sicily where she completed her first harvest. Following this, she embarked on an international journey, gaining invaluable experience with harvests in Australia and New Zealand within just eight months. She then settled in Sicily for eight years, where she honed her skills managing a winery and overseeing the production of a diverse range of Sicilian wines.
In 2016, Federica returned to her roots in Abruzzo to join Cantina Zaccagnini. Here, she has been integral to various processes, from selecting suppliers to overseeing vinification and aging. Today, she proudly serves as the head enologist, leading the winemaking operations at Cantina Zaccagnini.
