Cantina Zaccagnini - Plasir Passito Bianco
GRAPES
100% Moscato Di Castigliona
REGION
Colline Pescaresi, Abruzzo, Italy
METHOD OF PRODUCTION
After the grapes have reached the proper level of ripeness, the vines are cut in order to initiate the drying process on the vine. This method will produce the right amount of sugar concentration. Open air circulation will help to avoid the growth of molds. At the desired sugar concentration the grapes are harvested, crushed, and cold fermented. The resulting wine is fined for about six months in wood barrels, then bottled and further aged for an additional six months, before release.
WINE NOTES
This wine has a golden color, with a delicate aromatic bouquet typical of this moscato. For better enjoyment, keep this wine for the next two years where it will further develop complexity and aroma.

This wine is great by itself as a dessert wine, or in combination with dry almond cookies. Serve at 10-12°C
