GINO RAZZI
Proprietor and CEO
GRazzi@winesu.com

Gino Razzi serves as the owner and proprietor of WinesU and has over 43 years of experience in the Wine Industry. Born and raised in Abruzzo, Italy, Gino moved to the United States when he was 17 years old.

In 1970, Gino and his brother Nino started a wine import and wholesale company called Viva Vino Imports. Gino traveled around Italy to find the very best Italian wines to import to the U.S.

After working in the wine import industry for 27 years, Gino decided to try his hand in winemaking. Working alongside his old friend and master enologist at Cantina Zaccagnini, Concezio Marulli, Gino made his first wine in 1997 called Symposium. On its first released vintage, this Montepulciano d’Abruzzo received a rating of 95 points by Wine Spectator. It is still the highest rated Montepulciano d’Abruzzo in history.

In 2002, Gino decided to take on another challenge in making Pennsylvania Wines. Having studied the process of winemaking under enologist Concezio Marulli, Gino was ready to build his own winery in Pennsylvania. Penns Woods Winery is the masterful creation of Gino Razzi. His wines have been awarded double gold in the Finger Lakes International Wine Competition and gold medals in both the Pennsylvania Wine Competition and International Eastern Wine Competition.

Gino has one daughter who currently works with him managing Penns Woods Winery.

EDWARD LAUBER
Chairman Emeritus
ELauber@winesu.com

Ed Lauber serves as Chairman Emeritus of WinesU.  Ed has over 55 years of experience in the wine and spirits industry. His career began with Leroux Cordials and over the years he held various positions as State Manager and Division Manager with Munson Shaw Company, General Wine and Spirits Company, and Browne Vintners Company. He then took on the position as Vice President of Buckingham Wine Corporation and was entirely responsible for Mouton Cadet and the wines of Baron Philippe de Rothschild.

Ed created Lauber Imports in 1980. He and his son Mark built the company into one of the largest and most respected fine wine distributors in the country.  The company was named the best wine importer and distributor in the country by Food & Wine magazine in 2004.  They sold the company to Southern Wine & Spirits in 2005 and Ed continued working for them until 2010, when he joined forces with Wines Unlimited, who had become one of Lauber Imports most important suppliers.

Ed is an icon in the wine industry.  He pioneered the way in which small to medium fine wine companies operate today.  He has travelled all over the world and has visited almost every country that makes wine.

In his spare time, Ed loves to cook with his wife Marsha and exercise.  The couple have completed 7 running marathons and continue to work out on a regular basis.
